Moving in?
Moving into our student housing but don't know where to pick up the keys? Do you need insurance? When will the invoice arrive? Here you can find some information!
Where do I pick up the keys?
Pangaia will provide most international students with keys and information.
If you are not in contact with them or the international office for information and key exchange, you can pick up the key and move into your accommodation any time after your contract starts. Our reception at Elvegata 24 is open Monday-Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM, and this is where you should pick up your key. If you arrive in Volda outside our opening hours, please inform us well in advance. Notify us in writing at post@sivolda.no. We strongly encourage you to plan your arrival within our opening hours so we can assist you if you have any questions.
Can someone else pick up the keys for me?
Same as above with the Pangaia. If not: Yes, you can have someone else pick up the keys for you, but you must send us a written authorization with information about who will be picking up the keys well in advance. Send the authorization to post@sivolda.no.
What do I need to bring?
Again - most international students get these things provided by Pangaia.
Others: You need to bring kitchenware, a duvet/pillow, and cleaning supplies.
The shared kitchens have cabinets labeled with your room number. It is important not to place your belongings in other cabinets, even if they are empty.
Do I need insurance?
Yes! SiVolda’s insurance does not cover the tenant's personal belongings. Contact your insurance company for information on renter’s insurance(innboforsikring). This is very important!
Reporting issues
If you discover any faults or deficiencies in your accommodation, you must report them as soon as possible. Report issues through My page using the move-in checklist.
When will I recieve the rent invoice?
You start paying rent from the date specified in your contract. You will receive a notification when the rent is ready for payment in the "My page" section of our app.
Rental contract
It is important that you familiarize yourself with the contract before moving in. You can find it on "Min side". Here, you can also accept/sign the contract.
